In Memoriam to Tink
We got Tink in Feb of 2016 from RCF and were so lucky to have had almost 10 years with the most wonderful dog. We had pick of the litter and my goodness we got it. We knew immediately she was the one for us when she crawled into each of our laps, looked up at our faces, locked eyes and melted our hearts. Dede had said if there was someone in need of a therapy dog, she would have been the one. It was love at first sight for everyone. We can still hear the sweet little voices of our then 4yo and 2yo calling her name, running around the house and the yard. She was our constant companion and our kids grew up with the perfect furry friend. Everyone loved her and she loved everyone. She was gentle and patient with all ages and especially loved children but was an equal opportunity love bug. She was playful and goofy, and eager to please, and the absolute best snuggler. She was incredibly smart and easy to train. She loved tennis balls and despised squirrels and rabbits. If she seemed sad she usually needed a ball or a snuggle Lots of games of Tinky-in-the-middle and endless rounds of fetch from the deck. She was a terrible swimmer but that didn’t stop her from trying. She wasn’t food driven which was great when we left food unattended but she would demand pea crisps and Culver’s cheese curds if we had them. We miss her more than words can say and we’re not sure how we will ever fill the void.
With love, The Raleys
